Time Warner Remote Help?

The remote for my Time Warner Cable isn't working right. The batteries were fresh and it was working fine, then suddenly it barely turns channels or volume or anything. Can anyone help?

On the top, push the "CABLE" button

Hi Random,

Take some rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth and wipe off the little round "glass" in the front of your remote. All it takes is a speck of dirt or a smudge to disperse the infra red signal and cause your remote to be weak or non functional.

Something you can try is take the batteries out & check the battery connections. Make sure they don't have any corrosion or build-up on the contacts. If you feel really ambitious, you can take the remote apart & check all the connections inside as well . You may have a bad battery in the batch of new ones as well.
