Charges against Ben for posession of illegal drug are being dropped because he had his "prescribed" diazepam in the car!

Someone should be red faced over this!

No wonder he refused a blood test, do you think he knew he was clean?

  1. If he is clean then why is he going to rehab?

  2. He is owed an apology by the police and media. Why was it made public that he had viagara in the car?Let the guy get on with his life.

  3. I agree with Jemima.

  4. Unless the police have substantial evidence, they can't just go pulling people over to the side of the road to perform blood tests. Ben was within his rights to refuse giving a sample.

Searching a vehicle is another matter.

Personally, I reckon that Ben was set up because he is a high profile sportsperson in Perth, and possibly someone wanted to see him sink.

After all, he hasn't murdered anyone.

Sammy Newman was on radio today in Melbourne, and stated that "all" clubs in the AFL have players on drugs of some sort or another. Regardless of whether they are for performance or recreational. This was a strong statement, and will open a can of worms for the AFL.

Ben has been advised by his legal representative to sue for wrongful arrest.

  5. i heard he just passed away from a overdose

    has anybody seen the news

  6. Everyone says they arent guilty dont they ?

and.....diazepan....??? i mean."get- a-grip"....they are like smarties compared to whats out there !!!

  7. as i have said im a fan of the eagles. but im not a fan of drugs. you could tell he knew he was clean. i mean why have a smug face in front of the camera smiling like there is not a care in the world. as far as im concerned the eagles have done the right thing in letting him go. they are going to be in the news all because of what ben has done, and will continue to do. as i have said they tried to help him stood behind him in every way and look what happens. i am not a fan of his. he should stop trying to be someone hes not. i do reckon he will end up being lindsay lohans new "best friend" with the way he is acting he might as well be. go the eagles we will do it next year.

  8. Conda - Ben was always going to rehab once the footy season was over - this was said before when he came back to Perth from the first bout of rehab.  He was always going to have followup rehab for as long as it took - this isn't something he's decided to do in the past couple of weeks.

But, back to the question, if Ben was clean of everything why did he refuse a blood test?  Surely he knew the media storm that would ensue, why not give a test straight away confirming he was clean?  He had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

His doctor has come out confirming that he tested Ben a few hours after Chris Mainwaring died and his test was clean then - why not do it when he was arrested this week?

Do you think maybe cos Ben has these so called underworld connections in Perth that the Police are just desperate to hang something on him?

It's like a bloody weekly drama series!

  9. me being a dockers fan which most people no that we hate eagles i think the eagles fans are just stupid because wen ben came on the field for the first time in a while against sydney they gave him a standing ovation and thought he was a hero but now  he has been caught agen with drugs

  10. and the $20 note with traces of cocaine found in the car???? The cocaine found in possession of the other person? Detectives from the gang crime squad pulling him over??? I'm a West Coast fan and love Ben and what He's done but I believe there's a bit more to this.
