Time for a change in British government?

Question

The system of government currently in use in the UK was set up many years ago before the modern age of communication. Now that we have the means to much better represent ourselves, do we need representatives who stand for so many in each case.

Surely we could have one person in 10 or 5 to represent their family/group etc. given modern communication tools?

Thats a great idea but going against the grain now and changing it would be almost impossible to do. The powers that be just won't let it happen!!
