  1. Takes at least 45min to an hour to get to the center of paris.

  2. It's about 30 to 40 km, so it should be doable in 2 hours. It still depends on the time of arrival though, since travel in and around Paris can be very dense (and that's an understatement). Shuttle buses and taxis can bring you to Paris and back.

I don't understand why you would want this though. If it's because of a connection, I really wouldn't recommend you doing this; you have a good chance that you have all your time spent on leaving the plane, retrieving your luggage, checking your luggage in again and then going to the right gate again.

I don't know for what reason you want to travel, but if it involves a transfer, it's a bad idea. 2 hours should under normal circumstances be no problem though, I don't know if you'll get to much more than a quick city tour (by taxi) and a café and croissant though.

Hope this helps! Read below for more info about the French transportation.

  3. How much time do you have?  Will you need to go through immigration at CDG because that sometimes takes an hour or so.

It takes around 40 mins to travel to the centre of Paris, providing there are no traffic holdups, and then you want to go back to the airport straightaway.  That will cost you from 80 to 100euros.  So what's the point?

  4. By taxi/car, it will take at least 40 minutes and this is if traffic is clear. Paris is famous for its traffic jams.

I highly recommend taking the RER (a train service that links Paris suburbs to center of Paris). From CDG Aeroport it takes only 40 minutes to get to center of Paris and you don't have to worry about traffic jams. You can alight at Gare du Nord or Chatelet Les Halles station and change onto the metro, wherever you're headed.

  5. It would be foolish to try this.

Paris traffic can be quite difficult and long and unanticipated delays are common.
