  1. LOTS of variables.

    Sq. ft. of the wall?

    Are you doing it alone?

Will there be doors/windows to cut in?

Will your framing allow for proper installation of drywall?

Depending on those and other variables, could take a week allowing for mud and paint drying time, maybe longer if the wall is floor to ceiling and lengthy.

  2. you should be able to get the wall and drywall up in a few hours....the joints on the drywall is what will take the longest...you have to wait for it to dry then sand it down, it is better to go thinner layers than one big fat layer of plaster...the thicker it is, it tends to honeycomb or get bubbles, even sinks in sometimes....depending on how well you can drywall, you can do all that in a day & 1/2...the paint coats depend on the color...the darker the paint, the more coats....(use a primer!  the drywall will suck paint right up and you will definately end up needing a bunch of coats if you don't use it)...with primer and a light color, prob one coat (KILZ is the way to go as they guarentee one coat finish)...darker color + primer, prob 2 coats..I would guess you can do this entire project in two days comfortably...best of luck to ya!
