Time of Spore release?

Question

What time on September 7 is Spore released in the US? I've heard that it is being released at midnight, and I've also heard 10:00 am and at noon.

Which of these times are correct?

PS: This is based on PST times

Well...  I preloaded Spore (bought it online through the EA Store), and, according to the timer, 1 day and 15 hours.  Since it's Friday at 7 pm right now, that would put it at Sunday at 10 am (if my math is right - I was never good at clock math).

Why such a "stupid" time?  Especially when you consider most "major" game releases have a midnight release (mostly for the hype value)?  I can only say that it might have something to do with the retailers.  EB Games doesn't open till 11 am on Sunday.

And another "weird" thing - Europe got it on the 4th.  They usually come behind N. America.  /shrug
