i would say 30 minutes by car/bus .

dont miss going to the Sakara Step Pyramid bec you can easily enter and see the burial rooms of the Oxen that were worshipped .

the Oxen were buried in granite boxes .

one of them was dragged by King Fuoad of Egypt who wanted to get it out .

he wanted to be buried in it .

the box was so huge and heavy that with 20th c technology it was impossible to take it out .

it stands there as a proof of the greatness of the Pharoahs .
