Time to Buy?

When is the best time to buy a board and stuff, at the end of the season or beginning?

After two season of light snowboarding (due to scheduling) with rentals, I've finally got my parents to buy me my own equip for next year and was wondering when stuff would be on sale. I'm not going to grow anymore and my weight is prolly not going to change either.

  1. you should buy them near the end of the season like March, usually the stores i go to i.e. sports chalet or active ride shop offers great deals usually up to 40 percent of the retail price and that includes snowboarding clothes, boards, boots, and bindings

  2. simple and to the point

end of march.. clearance on boards = better price with packages

    ya digg?

  3. I would go shopping all year, make a wish list and then in the spring just after the season is over, buy what you've been looking at.  if you want to, you may find an awesome deal by waiting till the beginning of the next season, look for lasts seasons equipment and try to pick that up.  then all of the new years stuff will be out and last years stuff should be a steal.  my buddy got a JP walker for just over $200, that's a good deal anywhere you look.

  4. Well, anytimes good, but the end of the seasons best I think 'cause the shops are gonna have all of last years models for a great price, most are like the really good models that were once like really expensive. Well, if your really good, get a really good board, if your kinda beginner ish, get an intermidiate board.
