Have a simple flat tax rate and everybody pays the same. But put about 100 or 200 little boxes to check about what you want your taxes to pay for. Fire protection - 5%, police - 10%, highways - 10%, national security - 15%, border patrol - 2%, welfare - .1%, bridge grants in alaska - 0%, aid to Darfur - 0%. Just check your boxes until 100% and that's where your dollars go instead of funding the spotted gecko extinction on a deserted Motu in the south Pacific. And I vote to remove troops from Germany, Japan, Korea, Kovovo, and anywhere else. But as long as we are in Iraq, keep bombing for a while and give the Marines a month off with free beer.

"Taxes must be equitable to enable the people to pay taxes according to their capacity to pay. Low salaried employees must pay less than the high paying individuals. "

That is typical libtard drivel.  Where in the constitution does it say people pay taxes according to their capacity to pay.  The tax code as it is is unfair to all.  Rich people, especially professional athletes and stars pay huge taxes.  middles class and below pay too much tax as well.A flat tax or a fair tax is a percentage.  A set percentage. Another aspect of the fair tax is the the IRS is drastically reduce and the tax code would be simplified and revised.   Get rid of the capitol gains tax and we would stop the flood of companies leaving the U.S. for cheaper labor.

  7. S what would happen to the Marines (and the country) if nobody checked military funding?
