Time travel conundrum!?

If, in the distant future, we found a way o send objeects back in time and we sent, lets say, a box back to the year 2007, the people in the place that the box appearss would have no cluye as to where the d**n thing came from, and then as time naturally progresses and we reach the styage where we are about to send the box back in time, we already know that it has happened having been in the past when it was sent!

is that right?

  1. Actually, Relativity permits and requires time travel....

    For real !

Build a cylinder of neutronium [or something similarly dense] sever miles in diameter and many miles long, and set it spinning fast enough that the surface was moving at close to lightspeed. Now pilot a spacecraft in a close approach trajectory. You will move forward or backward  in time [depending on whether your course is upspin or downspin relative to the cylinder] due to something called "Frame dragging" and travel a "closed time-like loop" or "path".

  2. There are all sorts of time travel paradoxes.  Thankfully, we probably won't have to worry about them because time travel is impossible.

  3. I don't think I would want to be able to time travel.  I like things the way they are.  I don't think I would like to know things before they happen, it would be too easy to preplan for events.  I like being spur of the moment.  Time traveling is not anything that interests me!!  IT SCARES ME!!!

  4. WOW Brilliant !
