Question:

Time warner cable dvr's?

Is there anyway to expand the memory on a dvr box? Or is there any other place i can move the movies to beside a videotape using the vcr function? Perhaps dvd?

  1. I know some DVR's have external hard drive storage. I can get one for my TiVo, but you would have to call Time Warner and ask them. Good Luck on that. I had one of theirs and I did like it but now that I know how much better TiVo is I do not like the Time Warner DVR's anymore. With mine I can even store programs on my computer's hard drive from my TiVo.

    Look into slingbox. I know there is a lot that it can do. I think with slingbox you can connect your DVR to it, then the slingbox connnects to your computer. If you get an external hard drive for your computer, like the passport, then maybe you can get it to work that way. I think it would be worth your while to look into the slingbox.
