Time warner dvr box ?!?

Ok...so I just got the hd dvr box from time warner. But I only have a regular tv without hd. Does this effect the picture at all?

I'd take it back unless you are looking to upgrade to HD sometime soon.  It won't hurt the picture that you are looking at but there is really no need to have an HD box without an HD set.

FYI - You are going to be paying more for an HD DVR box than a regular DVR box.  The HD DVR box is $9.95 a month compared to the regular DVR box which usually runs $7.95.  Unless you are planning to upgrade your TV soon there is really no need to have the additional $2 a month added to your bill.   Don't forget that you will also pay $7.95 a month for the DVR service too.

My advice is to get a regular DVR box unless an HDTV purchase is in the works soon but it won't mess up the picture quality at all.
