Time zone help!!?

Ok, please someone convert this for me!

I live in -5 GMT time, and someone else lives in +8 GMT time.

For a game, I need to be online the same time that person is online.

So what time is it here, if it is 8pm +8 GMT time??

Any answers will be appreciated!

that is about 13 hours difference so it would be about 9 am

If GMT is 12:00pm, then you are at 7:00am & they are at 8:00pm(20:00). So they are 13 hours AHEAD of you.

If you are 12:00pm Friday, they are at 1:00am Saturday

-5 GMT to +8 GMT is 13 hours ahead.

So, for 8PM where you are, it would be 9AM the next day

where the other person is.
