  1. 2 pm!

  2. Hi Brooke!

Right now, and for most of the year, when it is 4 p.m. Eastern Time, it is 1 p.m. in Phoenix.

Some writers have said 2 p.m., but that's not correct right now, and it's only the case between the first Sunday of November and the second Sunday of March.

Phoenix is in the Mountain Standard Time zone, which in winter is two hours behind Eastern Time.  On the second Sunday of March, all of the Eatsern Time zone goes to Daylight Saving Time, four hours behind Greenwich Mean Time.  Phoenix, though, stays on Mountain Standard Time year round, seven hours behind GMT.  So right now, June 30, there is three hours time difference.  When it's 4 p.m. here in New York, it's 1 o'clock in Phoenix.
