Times When you were scared by a tornado?

Question

Have you had times when you knew there was a tornado coming, and you panicked so hard you thought you were going to die? Please tell, if that ever happened to you.?

When i was like 7 or 8, ive had a really big fear of tornados, it was a extremely severe storm, and we heard this noise that sounded like a big train...by mom and my uncle said "tornado!??" and i felt like my soul had left my body when they said that .... i felt numb, uncontrollible of my whole body, and they looked out the window...it was a just a truck...

i LOVE tornadoes :]

i love destruction.

but i feel sympathy for people who get hurt in them.

thats a different story.

Well, this was a month or 2 ago and we went downstairs and the tornado touched down 2 MILES AWAY FROM OUR HOUSE! I was 9 and I started screaming and I held down one of my dogs, my yellow teddy, and my yellow blanket. Fortunately, the tornado started heading the other way! Phew! That was a close one!

I have yet to be in a situation with a bad storm where I panicked and thought I was going to die.  I've been in many near misses with tornados, though.  We just headed to the basement for cover and waited for it to pass.

In one situation - yes - two twisters struck the town and there was a lot of damage afterwards.  I had sat on the basement steps and covered my ears.

I don't like tornados. I especially hate the siren.. I always hear like a ambulance or something and freak thinking it's an actual tornado siren. And at the begining of the summer we had about three tornado warnings, and I've been especially worse about tornados since then..
