Timetable for release of a PSP2?

I wondered when a totally new PSP would come out. Not a revised current model.Ideas?????

There are no official news or even solid rumors. There is only a lousy picture of PSPhone, but it's a fake (most likely). No official announcements from Sony.

Normally consoles & handhelds have about a 5 year lifespan, so it shouldn't be too far off. Expect it sooner rather than later - since the original PSP was a bit of a flop in the worldwide market, Sony may be eager to replace it.

Sony currently has no plans for a PSP 2 or the much rumored PSP Phone. The only new model that is coming out is the PSP-3000, a revision of the current PSP that includes an internal microphone.
