Timing wire on a 1992 Chevy C30 5.7l RV Chassis

Question

This is the chassis to my RV. I am trying to set the timing on this and everywhere keeps saying to look for a tan wire with a black stripe to disconnect ECM's control of the timing.. I've looked behind the glove box, on the firewalls, above the #8 cylinder, and I cannot find this mysterious wire. Can anyone tell me where else this might be located or describe what it looks like? Additionally, can anyone point me to some wiring diagrams or tell me where I can follow this wire from in order to disconnect it?

they are either in the passenger side kick panel or up on the firewall on the p side. behind a black plastic shroud
