Timothy Bradley: I am better than Marquez – Boxing News
Unbeaten American fighter Timothy Bradley believes he is better than Mexican pugilist Juan Manuel Marquez. According to Bradley, he can easily beat Manny Pacquiao because he is way better than Marquez, who is supposedly the best Manny has ever faced.
In his recent interview, Bradley said, “They may think that Marquez just has Manny's number, but whatever Marquez can do, I can do ten times better. He's great at counter-punching, and I'm devastating at counter-punching. My counter-punching ability is unbelievable.
I beat most of my guys on counter-punching. It's effective aggressiveness with counter-punching. Roach has confidence in his fighter, and that’s great, but I don’t think that they realize what they’re getting into, to be honest with you.”
He added that many people think Pacquiao is invincible but he is not and he is beatable. He said that regardless of Pacquiao’s track record, he will show the world that the Pacman is beatable, adding that he will dominate the Filipino in the ring with a
proper game plan.
On the other hand, Roach, Pacquiao’s trainer, believes that Bradley is not a great counter puncher. According to Roach, Bradley is very offensive and that he thinks he is good but he is not. Roach added that he has prepared a solid game plan for Manny after
watching a couple of Bradley’s fights.
Lastly, the WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao says that he is not quite sure as to what Bradley will bring in the ring but he is 100% ready for anything. Pacquiao sounded confident when he said he has everything in place for Bradley.
Last month, when Pacquiao was asked regarding his strategy against Bradley, the Filipino said that he would counter Bradley’s head butts and elbows, Bradley’s favourite moves, with his ferocious punches.
Roach had repeatedly said that Pacquiao will knockout Bradley. In fact, the Hall of Famer trainer even went ahead saying Pacquiao will knockout Bradley in the sixth round of the bout. If Roach’s prediction is correct, Pacquiao will definitely have a victory
to celebrate. However, if Pacquiao falls to Bradley, it will probably be his last fight since the Filipino fighter is already considering retirement.
