Timothy Bradley: I am ready to take the throne – Boxing News
Unbeaten American fighter Timothy, who will be challenging Manny Pacquiao for the WBO welterweight title, believes it is about time for the Filipino to be dethroned. Timothy Bradley held a press conference yesterday. The ‘Desert Storm’ spoke about his training
and that he wants to spar for around 160 rounds before he enters the ring against Pacquiao.
However, many analysts are of the view that Bradley is working a bit too hard and by the time he will enter the ring against the Filipino, he will be all drained out. Bradley revealed, “The time is already here, the moment. I am ready to take the throne.
I'm excited. Training and preparation have been going great. I am in the best shape of my life. When we are done I will have sparred about 160 rounds. I have been training for almost three months now. I am on weight. I left the gym at 147 pounds today so I
will probably be coming in kind of light the day of the weigh-in maybe 145 or 144. I am just eating a little bit more and I feel great. I am confident and I am ready to deliver.”
Now, just ten days are left before both the fighters meet each other in the ring. Manny Pacquiao is in Los Angeles, training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym. According to Roach, Pacquiao is ready and in good shape to take on the American. In fact, Roach
is so confident over Pacquiao that he believes the Filipino will knock out Bradley by the sixth round.
On the other hand, Bob Arum, Top Rank’s Hall of Fame promoter, believes Timothy Bradley is in great shape and he can be a problem for Pacquiao in the ring. According to Arum, Bradley looks great and he can be an upset for the Filipino in the ring. When asked
why Bradley was chosen for Pacquiao, Arum said that after Pacquiao’s last two fights, it was apparent that the WBO welterweight champion needed more energetic opponents to go head to head with so that fans can enjoy his fights.
