Timothy Bradley: I am right there with Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather – Boxing News
Unbeaten American fighter Timothy Bradley is confident that he can take on Manny Pacquiao and defeat him easily. In his recent interview, the 3 to 1 underdog said he is at Pacquiao’s and Mayweather’s level already and he just needs to prove it. Bradley is
scheduled to fight WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Instead of trash-talking about Pacquiao, Bradley chose to speak about his abilities and the advantages he will have over Pacquiao. According to Bradley, “I can box, I can brawl, I'm well-conditioned -- no one is more conditioned than me. I'm right there
with Pacquiao and [Floyd] Mayweather. I slip, slide, bob and weave. I have good footwork. For Manny, he'll be looking at himself when he sees me. The only advantage he has on me is his power. But I can go to the body if he gets reckless. I'm young, in my prime,
and I have a lot of confidence and swagger. I don't fear this guy. He's just a guy to me. He hasn't proved he's better. Once I step in that ring, I own it, bro.”
While Bradley is confident of himself, Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach thinks otherwise. According to Roach, Pacquiao will not only beat Bradley but he will knock him out. In his recent interview last week, the Hall of Famer coach insisted that Pacquiao
will break Bradley by the sixth round at the most. According to Roach, Bradley is a good fighter but he lacks discipline and that is where Manny will get him.
Considering the fact that Bradley uses head butts and elbows, Pacquiao said that he will counter Bradley’s vicious bead butts with his ferocious punches. Roach is already trying his level best to prepare Pacquiao to knock out Bradley, since it has been a
while the Filipino has not dominated a fighter in the ring.
For now, Bradley thinks he has all it will take to take Pacquiao down. If so, then Bradley might be able to beat Pacquiao and grab his WBO title, a scenario that most analysts think is out of question.
