Timothy Bradley, the new WBO welterweight title holder, believes his time has come to take on the big fighters in the industry. In his recent interview, the unbeaten American came up saying that he has proven his capabilities against Pacquiao and now it
is time for him to go even further with his career. Replying to Amir Khan’s challenge for December, Bradley said that if a rematch against Pacquiao does not happen then he surely would go for Khan.
When asked about his future endeavours, Bradley said, “I just want the big fights. If Khan is the big fight and we can make it happen, then why not? Let's do it.”
When asked about Floyd Mayweather, Bradley said, “He's all about money, 'Money' Mayweather. If it doesn't make money, it doesn't make sense. That would be his take: 'What kind of fans are you going to bring, Bradley?' Me having a small fan base would jeopardize
me fighting him. But I'm all for it. I would love to face him because I feel he needs to learn.”
For now, Bradley is looking forward to a rematch against Manny Pacquiao, especially after the WBO has called Pacquiao the winner of the June 9 encounter. However, it should be noted here that Pacquiao’s camp has not yet given a positive response for a Bradley
rematch. Instead, Pacquiao’s camp stated that they might be going ahead to pursue a fight against Juan Manuel Marquez or Miguel Cotto and then the rematch with Bradley next year.
It seems like Timothy Bradley, Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan and Floyd Mayweather are all in the same boat and they are trying to convince each other for a match this year. Amir Khan is eager to take on Mayweather and Bradley, whereas Mayweather is currently
thinking about either retiring or facing Manny Pacquiao. Similarly, Pacquiao is currently busy in his hometown, helping the flood victims with all the money he earned when he went head to head against Bradley.
There is nothing sure right now as to what will happen. Chances are that Bradley and Pacquiao will get in a rematch sometime later this year or early next year.
