Timothy Bradley reveals about death threats and curses – Boxing News
Timothy Bradley, the now WBO welterweight champion, is under immense pressure and depression after he defeated Manny Pacquiao via split decision which was widely considered as a controversial one. Bradley, who believes he needs respect as a WBO welterweight
champion, is instead receiving curses and death threats from fans all around the world.
In his recent interview, Bradley revealed that fans have been cursing him through Facebook and Twitter. Bradley believes he is now the most hated fighter in the world, even though he did not have much to do with the decision.
He revealed, “Definitely on Facebook and Twitter, reading people's comments, e-mails and people are sending me like death threats, telling me to die, telling me to give the belt back, 'if you're a man' and all this hate mail. Just people being really rude
like I'm the one to blame. 'If you're a real champion and want any respect from me then you'd give the belt back.' ... I deserve the belt. I won the fight regardless of what anyone thinks....Don't be pointing the finger at me, don't be sending me crazy e-mails
and things like that because I really don't care.”
Bradley also spoke about Bob Arum and called him a liar. Arum claimed after the match that Bradley had told him he lost the fight to Manny. However, Bradley revealed that he never said any such thing to Arum since there was no reason of it. Bradley believes
that he had beaten Manny Pacquiao by giving him h**l in the ring.
Even Bradley’s trainer Joel Diaz revealed that Bradley is going through the most depressive days of his life. Diaz believes that Bradley needs appreciation for beating or at least being in the ring for twelve straight rounds with the world’s most explosive
fighter. However, the hatred that Bradley is receiving is something that Diaz believes he does not deserve.
The WBO has already ordered an inquiry for the fight and so has the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Bob Arum, promoter for both the fighters, has rejected setting up a rematch until inquiry results show up.
