Timothy Bradley to take on Devon Alexander
In Pontiac, On Saturday, 29th January, 2011, two unbeaten American boxers Timothy Bradley and Devon Alexander will be face to face in a competition within the light Welterweight division.
The 27-year-old Timothy Bradley “Desert Storm” orthodox player has fought 27 fights in total with 26 wins of which 11 wins are by KO with surprisingly no losses and draws. In ranking Bradley is number one, WBA champion Amir Khan King in on number two and
Alexander is on third spot. Khan will face either of them at some place following year as well.
The 23-year-old Devon Alexander is the winner of 21 fights in total with 13 KO and still undefeatable.
If we look at both fighters past bouts, they are experienced and skilful and have almost similar records and passion of winning.
Bradley needs necessary adjustments to make sure that he is in line to power shot. Alexander has height advantage. Strength wise Bradley is stronger than Alexander. In his last fighting bout against Luis Carlos Abregu, he proved to be physically and mentally
strong fighter. Because he avoids seeking a single KO punch, his counter punching technique is weak so other can take the advantage of his ineffectiveness. He has a good jab technique and fights extraordinary in the middle of the ring.
Alexander has incredible hand speed and better jab. His last fight was against Andriy Kotelnik in defense of WBC and IBF light welterweight titles. He was the winner of the 12 round unanimous decision, but not without being injured, his right eye was blooded
as a result of head-butt. So both Bradley and Alexander should try to avoid the clash of heads that can be resulted in a TKO. Alexander should be ready and trained for 12 round fight.

This match is very important for both great boxers, more importantly for the welfare of sport its. Fight between Bradley and Alexander will be interesting to see hopefully. If the focus of both the fighters is on one punch strategy so fight might be boring.
Bloody clash of heads are more likely. More importantly Bradley and Alexander should try to defend their unbeaten titles and it should be real fight for expectators. Boxing is going to be disappeared now these days, the numbers of fans are now decreasing
day by day because of its dangerous nature. Around 20 years ago, boxing was one of the most exciting and entertaining sports, now WWE or mixed martial arts are on top with respect to boxing.
