Tine Baun stamps her mark over Inthanon Ratchanok in Women’s Singles encounter at Uber Cup Finals
Denmark’s talented player Tine Baun displayed her hard-to-learn skills and stamped her mark over Thailand’s Inthanon Ratchanok in Women’s Singles encounter at the Thomas Cup Finals 2012 at Wuhan, China, on Wednesday, May 23.
The higher ranked Baun, who is World Number 7 in Women’s Singles category, put up phenomenal show of staggering performance and overwhelmed Ratchanok in an elevated fashion.
Baun was in superb form while playing against Ratchanok and finished off the battle in straight games by working well for just 32 minutes in the court.
On the other hand, Ratchanok played quivering badminton and remained struggling to find a good rhythm and eventually lost to her Danish rival without showing a strong resistance.
In the first game, the Danish lady remained impressive in the court and also put up good show which helped her to maintain an upper hand over her rival.
In the meanwhile, Ratchanok tried to live up to expectations but failed to dominate the pace at any stage as her Danish opponent was in complete control of rallies.
Until the mid-game interval, it was Baun who took a reasonable gap on the score board.
After the break, the higher ranked Danish continued playing safe and composed badminton without losing her focus at any stage.
She was in remarkable form and took advantage in the game by taking the opening set with a margin of 21-18.
In the following set of this entertaining fight, Ratchanok played well this time as she matched the speed of her rival and also remained equal on the board until the score reached at 4-4.
At this stage, Baun occupied the driving seat and managed to set up a comfortable gap of 11-6 on the board.
After the one-minute break, the Danish continued her roller-coaster performance without dropping her speed at any stage.
She remained ahead on the board in the concluding set of the battle and ended it with a massive 21-12 margin on the board.
The in-form Danish shuttler emerged as the winner in this Women’s Singles clash in 32 minutes with a score of 21-18 and 21-12.
