is it something to worry about. I know that his type of tingling can have something to do with a nerve...

  1. I think you are referring to "Paresthesia".  Any type of tingling is usually a symptom related to a nerve being damaged, injured, or diseased. This tingling can be more than annoying and could indicate a more serious medical condition.  Your Mum should seek professional help.  There are many causes for this tingling and only a doctor can tell her the exact cause after running tests.
