Tinnitus?Does anyone suffer from it?

Does anyone suffer from tinnitus and what do you do for it?I have this high pitched ringing in my left ear all the time.I have a doctors appointment and will have it checked out.But,just wondered if other people have this problem?

I have sensitized hearing from exposure to loud noises. Now I experience discomfort from loud pentecostal music and other loud exposures. There is a ringing in the ears that I try to ignore.

You are certainly not alone. I've read that about 17% of the population suffers from tinnitus. The trouble with treatment is, there are a lot of different causes, and the treatment you should use depends upon the cause. For example, loud noises, stress, and allergies are three of the most common causes, and they all are helped by different treatments.

I suffer with tinnitus, but it comes and goes in both of my ears. I usually hear more of a squealing noise and it really effects the way I live my life, but my condition is more severe then most.
