Tino Best’s knock surprised http://www.senore.com/Cricket/D-Ramdin-c1299 – Cricket News Update

West Indies’ wicketkeeper/batsman, Denesh Ramdin, was surprised by Tino Best's knock on the fourth day of the third Test at Birmingham, but was disappointed that the fast bowler failed to complete his maiden Test century.
The fast bowler from Barbados made a comeback to the West Indian team during the on-going tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 after three years. The right-hander came into bat at number 11 when the visitors lost their ninth wicket for 283 runs on the board. Best however, played
out of his skin and blasted the English bowlers all around the park, helping his team post 426 runs in the first innings.
The 30-year-old scored 95 runs off only 112 balls, in which he struck fourteen boundaries and a massive hit out of the park. Best, along with Ramdin, accumulated 143 runs for the last-wicket partnership and has effectively made sure that his team does not
face a whitewash in the series.
After the day’s play, Ramdin talked to the media and expressed that he was not expecting such an innings from the fast bowler, as he is not known for his batting abilities. However, Best proved that he is a fighting character and always gives his best for
the team.
"It was amazing the way that Tino came out and played. He played some unbelievable shots. I did not think he had those shots in his armoury. He expressed himself. That's the way Tino plays," said Ramdin.
While talking about his partnership with the number 11, the wicketkeeper/batsman said that Best helped him complete his hundred and he was doing his best to return the favour, before the fast bowler played a rash stroke against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/G-Onions-c1449 to throw away
his wicket just short of his hundred.
The 27-year-old keeper from Trinidad added, "He kept saying: 'Keep going, big http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Middlebrook-c1651. You go out there, you get your 100 and then you bat with me to get my 50.' I told him I'll be there when he gets his hundred but unfortunately he got carried away and he didn't
get there."
