  1. if you get transition lenses, they are usually slightly tinted even when they are supposed to be clear, so maybe this is what you are experiencing...if not, TAKE THEM BACK. tell them you did NOT order tinted lenses and want what you paid for.

  2. If you are seeing blue or green reflections on the surface of the lenses it is probably a non glare coating.

If you are wearing a low index plastic lens, they can sometimes have a yellowish or brownish hue that is very slight, but can appear to be an extremely light tint.

If they really did tint them by mistake, just take them back. In most cases a light tint can be stripped in a few minutes. Or if they cannot remove it they should be willing to remake new lenses.

If your doctor recommended a tint, he most certainly would have explained the reason for it to you, and it is pretty rare to prescribe tints. He may have checked a box on the Rx for sunglasses, but those boxes are recommendations not required, and all doctors should recommend Rx sunglasses because they lower chances for disease as you age.

  3. If you didn't request a tint, they wont put it on without asking you- it was probably a mistake filling your prescription. Take it back and get it fixed. Nothing to worry about.
