Tiny, White Furry Bodied, Tailed Insect?

Question

I live in South-Central Ohio, and have found a rather odd insect. Here is a basic description:

It Flies

It has White Fur on its Abdomen

It has a White, Stringy Tail

It is about 1/2 Cm long

Its wings are clear

If you know what this could be, please tell me, as I don't know how long it will stay alive in its jar. If not, please let me know of some place where I can report this insect.
