Question:

Tiny Bugs - HELP!?

Hi everyone -

I have these tiny bugs congregating right at the spot where my baseboard comes up to my kitchen tile. I haven't seen them around any other spots, but this is right next to my fridge and making me a little worried!

They are small - I can't even see how many legs they have, black, and honestly, if they were on my dog or cat I'd think they were fleas. They don't seem to bite, and I've been taking care of them with spray cleaner (I need to get some bug spray!) over the past two days when I noticed them.

Any ideas? Links? HELP! I'm terrified they will infest my house (can you tell I hate bugs?)

  1. Possibly silverfish, they are very tiny and in large groups look black but they are actually a silverish-grey. They are fond of moisture. I recommend getting bug spray, that should take care of them.

  2. Sounds like some kind of black mite...there are numerous kinds of them.

since the infestation is in yoru kitchen I would suggest a spray that is chemical free that you can use wherever you see them.

The one that I have seen used most is called Kleen-Free and it is a chemical free cleaning spray that is also used to control small pests including mites like you probably have.
