  1. I agree with spraying with soapy water, but are you over watering your plant? If the soil is really wet it might make the problem worse.

When ever I have over watered my house plants it usually results in gnats or fruit flies.

I water my plants once a week, if in plastic pots most of them do better, . Clay pots dry out faster.

You are the best judge of that.

  2. Set them on fire!

  3. fruit flies and no

  4. i'm not sure what they could be (pictures would be helpful here)... but as long as you don't see any physical damage to the plant (i.e. eaten leaves, wilting, etc), they're probably helping it by pollinating it.

  5. fruit flies?

  6. very possibly gnats.....i dont know if they can harm the plant but an easy solution to any bug problem is spraying the plant with soapy water.....harmful to the bugs, harmless to the plant

  7. Since it's rosemary, I'd say it's fruit flies.

Get a skinny (think vinegar) necked jar & put some honey or wine in it.  They flies will be attracted & get stuck.  Most wine tasting rooms do that.
