Tiny dead bugs found in carpet; keep reappearing.

Over a hundred dead bugs were found in our house one morning near utility room and carpeted hallway right next to it. Dark brown, very small, with multiple lines running across the body. Appears to have no legs or wings. Almost looks like droppings. Most are found deep in carpet. Vacuumed them up and the next day more appeared, dead again. What could these be? The exterminator comes tomorrow for an evaluation but can't wait til then to figure this out. Please help!

  1. if its no legs or wings, then its not an insect/bug.  could be droppings, but hundreds is a lot.  Suggest you peel back the carpet and see whats going on underneath..../

There is a photo of what i think you see!

it's a carpet beetle in the early stages of life!

i freaked when i seen them in my house and did a full blown out search on what they were!

and those little black beetle bugs come from this!  Wow!

    Good luck!
