i have tiny little insects in my bathroom sink that does not go away no mtter what i do. i have used liquid plumber down the drain. i kill them every time i go to the bathroom and look at my sink. They seem to be crawling out of the sink drain or the tiny hole located in the sink for the water run off...not sure where they are coming from but they are. they also jump when you get close to them to kill them and they dont die from water if i just wash them down the sink. it seems as though they live in the drain area. how do i kill them permanently? and what are they? can anyone please help me with this problem? thank you.

  1. If they are gray and resemble tiny moths, they may be a gnat commonly called a "drain fly". They like to live in damp places like drain-pipes, especially ones that have a large build up of "gunk" (hair, etc.) in them. Liquid plumber may not be enough to do the trick- you may have to snake the drain to break up clogs deeper in the pipe system, or use a foaming drain cleaner which may help remove the gunky build-up in your pipes.

  2. Do you live in the south? I would call an exterminator and have a plumber look at your pipes.

  3. I don't think you need to!  Please don't assume you have to kill something just because it's an insect in your house.  Also, please be aware that any chemical insecticide you buy will be FAR more dangerous and harmful, in the short term and long (mutagenic) to your health at the cellular level.  The stuff is dangerous.

  4. they are water crikit's the body look's sort of like a fish, they wont hurt you, they like the water, have fun! they will go away after so long.  s

  5. not sure what they are, but u should just spray insect killer spray down the drain

  6. Eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww

  7. Pour some full strength disinfectant or insect spray into drain. Also leave plug in the drain pipe to stop them coming into sink
