Tio Xue Sin tames Gooi Seik h*i to secures Girl’s Singles U15 title at Merdeka Cup Challenge 2012
Malaysia’s budding player Tio Xue Sin showed her elevated craft on court and secured Girl’s Singles U15 title after thrashing her compatriot Gooi Seik h*i in the final encounter at the Merdeka Cup Challenge 2012 on Sunday, August 26, in Malaysia.
The impressive Tio Xue, who remained incredible all the way to the final of the tournament, continued her giant killing run in the final battle and gave a punishing treatment to Gooi Seik by beating her in a spectacular fashion.
The in-form Tio Xue played with precision throughout the final showdown and remained successful in giving a severe lesson to her rival by ending up the match in straight games with a wonderful margin on the board.
In the meanwhile, Tio Xue could not maintain her fascinating performance on court as she failed to push her rival on back foot at any stage in the match and easily went down in two sets without creating a strong impact on court.
The first set of the match belonged to Tio Xue who put up staggering show of top quality badminton and remained successful in grabbing an early lead without facing any trouble.
Until the one-minute interval, the aggressive Tio Xue remained ahead on score board by setting up a remarkable lead.
After the interval, Tio Xue geared up her speed and injected more power into her shots. She remained in complete control of rallies all the way to end up the opening game with a stunning 21-12 score on the board.
In the following game, Tio Xue maintained the same speed and paced up the rallies from the opening points. She did not face any trouble in the whole opening half and again took a spectacular lead until the break.
The incredible Tio Xue continued putting up wonderful show in the concluding phase of second game. She did not show any mercy to Gooi Seik and eventually ended up the game with a superb score of 21-14.
Tio Xue emerged as the title winner by ending up the final contest in just 18 minutes with a spectacular 21-12 and 21-14 score on the board.
