  1. If that's the only sign of autism that you're seeing, then it's probably not autism.  Combined with a lot of other behaviors it could be, but it's also a pretty normal thing for kids to do.

  2. its not a sign of autism but not good for the child's feet if its only once in awhile wouldnt worry if its doin it on a daily basis the child needs to get checked out.

  3. YES IT CAN BE BUT ALSO MEANS THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE TO GET THERE FEET CHECKED OUT BECAUSE HE MIGHT HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY NO ARCH.

  4. your child has autism. sorry.

  5. it is a sign that they are learning about balance.  Totally normal.

If the child was having problems walking, then it is something to look into but you said Occasionally not consistantly.

RELAX, your child is fine.  Might be sign that they will be a dancer someday.

    I

  6. Occasional tip toeing is normal.  Yes it is a sign of autism, but only 1 of many and I wouldn't worry about it if its the only one.  It could be sensory that the child is seeking sensory input.  Easily corrected with an OT.

Also it could be high muscle tone, try pulling up on the toes, if it is tight you should stretch it once a day.  My son was like this from high muscle tone (hypertonia)

  7. I've never heard of it being a sign or autism, but my daughter did it when she was 2 1/2. The doctor said not to let her, because it's not good for her feet.
