  1. Well, when I was there last year, typical meals were like this (now this is what we ate while we stayed in the house of my husband's family down there, of course if you go to restaurants & stuff down there you can pretty much order anything, but this is what we ate as far as typical everyday home-cooked meals)...BREAKFAST: Refried beans, Cheese, Bread or Handmade tortilla's, sometimes eggs, coffee...."BRUNCH": Bread & Coffee or a barley drink called Cevada....LUNCH: Different things...you could have Beans, tortillas, Bread, Fish, Chicken, or Beef, Coffee or Cevada to drink, or traditional meals like Pollo en Amarillo, Pepian, Paches (tamales), caldo (soup), a lot of different things really....AFTERNOON SNACK: Bread & Coffee or Cevada....DINNER: (Same stuff as lunch pretty much)....DESSERTS: They're not big on desserts like we are here in the USA.

  2. It depends on the town you´re visiting.  But the most known and requested meals are:

Salty: tamales, chuchitos, tamalitos de chipilín, pepián, jocón, pulique, chiles rellenos, revolcado, tapado...

Sweet: rellenitos, tamalitos de elote, manjar, mole de plátano...

Drinks: atol blanco, atol de elote, atol de plátano, horchata, jamaica, fresco de carambola...

  3. Fish, rice & beans. Thats it.

Refried beans (frijoles) are served breakfast, lunch and dinner in a variety of formats - soup, paste, whole, mashed, sauce etc. You'll soon get used to them!!

Corn tortillas are also served alot at dinner.

  4. breakfast: tortillas,beans,eggs

lunch: chicken,pepian,chuchitos,pachetes,rice,t... they drink Rosa de Jamica o Horchata

Deserts- Mole is plaintain with choclate mix
