Tipping Hairdresser?

My dad wants me to tip the hairdresser after a haircut...is tht normal like do other people do that, it sounds weird to me

I always tip at least 15-20%, I wouldn't have my hair done if I couldn't tip.

You should always tip your barber/hairdresser.  I am a cosmetologist. I typically receive 20%. I always tip 20% when I receive services. If they do a poor job though I don't think I would tip more than 10%. But definitely tip the hairdresser.

Yes!  You definitely tip the hairdresser.  You're suppossed to tip at least 15%.  It would be totally rude to not tip them.

Yes, it is normal in the US.  

Tip 10-20%, depending on how good of a job they do.
