I was at the casino the other day playing 2/5 NL texas holdem

I won a $950 pot and I tipped the dealer $10. Was that a good tip or was I being cheap compared to people usually tip? I have not played live very much so I dont know what I am supposed to tip.

  1. Tipping is all about service and not if you are up or down.  You are not obliged to tip and no casino dealer should expect tips.

People tend to tip more when they win big.

If the dealer has helped you have a good night then a tip is ok.  Personally I believe a $10 tip is fine, however I feel others may of tipped a single $25 chip as this is more common.

  2. i think youre supposed to tip a follar for every 10 to 20 you win

  3. There is no set amount for tipping if the service provided is good then tip, how much is up to you. Remember that a tip is a gratuity and no one is entitled to it if the service you are receiving is bad don't tip.
