Tipping angle for trucks?

At what angle does the average pick-up truck tip over? I'm talking about tipping over to the side. Are some trucks much better than others (in other words, less likely to tip over)? How much would a camper affect that tipping angle?

  1. Towing a trailer would INCREASE the chance of rollover. The biggest problem you will have is ramps and turns. The bigger the truck the heavier it weighs so it would reduce the likely hood of rollover.

  2. I'm not sure of the exact angle but the center of gravity is determining factor. Anytime you raise the center of gravity, such as a lift or a camper, the truck is more likely to roll. The best truck you could use to limit this is a 1ton with dual rear wheels. The additional axle width will be more stable than your conventional single wheel configuration.
