Tipping in Vancouver - Pre-GST total?

Question

Are you supposed to tip on the bill, before taxes or after?

This really makes a difference.

Can someone please clarify?

Absolutely not!

I only tip on the meals, not the drinks or taxes.

eh- it's a matter of opinion. i work in a resturaunt and most  guests tip on the total amount tax included. i always tip on the full bill amount. why not i guess?
