Tipping my hairstylist?

I like to tip properly. I used to always tip about $10 on a $35-45 haircut. Recently I started getting highlights too. I tipped only $10 out of habit and then realized latter I should have given more. The total service (highlights and cut) were $100. It's not a fancy salon, but she does a great job. How much should I tip?

PS, I live in the western US.

The $10 you tipped was more than enough. They should lower the prices a bit if they want a good tip.

You should give her a $15.00 tip of so cuz she does a great job & every thing so yeah I hope this helps! :)

Well it's about double the price with your highlights so double the tip! $20
