Question:

Tipping round 7..?

At a glance I thought this weeks tips were a sinch..

But after looking a little harder, a few question marks came to mind..

Could Bradshaw and Brown boot Geelongs 1st lost?

Is Collingwoods continued ANZAC form and Franklins' dodgy foot work be the demise of the Hawks streak?

Can Richmond's will to get a spot back in the top be enough to get over Saints?

And only cos I care bout my tippings..... Will Freo relieve Demons drought?

Have I over thought it or go with the obvious?

Its always the "easy" rounds that bite ya on the butt!

  1. Carlton  - 29 pts

    Geelong - 37 pts

    Hawthorn - 20 pts

    St.Kilda - 8 pts

    Adelaide - 11 pts

    Sydney - 9 pts

    Fremantle - 49 pts

    Port Power - 41 pts

  2. Very interesting observations you make there, but as a tiger man, i just can't see them beating the saints, we never match up with them too well, they have given us some nasty hidings, but it's a new year and the tigers are playing good footy, got close to the hawks, you just never know.

are you in the footy tipping comp with everyone here? which leads to my next question, Do you really think I'm going to give my tips out on here, I'm on the way back up the ladder, slowly but surely, lol.

  3. I will help you out here:

    Brisbane will beat Geelong.

    Hawthorn will beat Collingwood.

Richmond will beat St.Kilda (I reckon the Saints are looking quite dodgy).

    Freo will beat Melbourne.

And I can't help it I am adding another one:  The Swanees will thrash the Doggies (Mmmmm - Wishful thinking????)

  4. All good points...my pick for the upset are Richmond and Melbourne

Geelong at home will be very difficult for any team to overcome

I just can't see Collingwood having enough people to stop Hawk's firepower up forward...like last week....stop Franklin and guys like Roughhead, Rioli, Williams pop up for a few goals. Hawks mid-field are sound enough to give constant supply.

Richmond v Saints will be by 10 points either way

Freo is so inconsistent that it's difficult to pick them....I only pick them because Melbourne are worse....but I am ready for an upset

    .

  5. It's always the 'easy' rounds that get you...!

Geelong will be far too strong for the Kangas, though they will put up a good fight.

If Hawks stop the kneeing/corking business then the Pies will succeed in defeating the Hawks (they are due for a loss) and the Pies will be fired up after their thrashing of the Bombers.

Richmond has what it takes to win over the Saints, provided Brown and Richo continue their form of last week.

Freo vs Demons...hmmm care factor zero!!  I will pick Freo purely coz they are a fraction better then Melbourne.

  6. Well... I'm on 35/48 (NOT including the two draws)

so here's mine for rd 7

West Coast vs CARLTON - 14 points (will be interesting to

watch! Carlton playing better footy though)

GEELONG vs Brisbane - 23 points (will be a high scoring

match, but the Cats are the best team and will win)

HAWTHORN vs Collingwood - 35 points (Hawks will be too good in the second half and that's why i think the said margin)

Richmond vs ST KILDA - 3 points (Tigers to be unlucky again! should be a good game!)

ADELAIDE vs North Melbourn - 18 points (Adelaide usually wins this match-up at AAMI stadium and this will be no exception)

SYDNEY vs W.Bulldogs - 9 points (same as Adel-NM but a little closer. bulldogs first loss)

    Melbourne vs FREMANTLE - 45 points (*)

Essendon vs PORT ADELAIDE - 38 points (Port looknig like a good team again after a poor start, will be too good)

*Believe it or not... this is a danger game for Fremantle. This is the type of game where anything can happen! Depends on which Fremantle comes out to play - the one that lost to Richmond by 10 goals? (in which case, i'd go for melbourne by 12) OR the team that lost to Geelong by 1 point?

I think they'll play as they did last week.

EDIT: to the guy below me: you obviously think West Coast will win and that's fair enough. Your choice of words though are a bit stupid - I'm not bragging anything nor do I own a crack pipe! I merely stated who i think will win (in a question titled "tipping round7?"), what's the problem?  >.>

  7. first of all to the asker: what do you mean this weeks tips were a sinch? ive pulled hair out over matches here.

To the guy above me, your bragging about picking carlton over west coast in perth? put the crack pipe down.

to romper stomper: cosign, im not letting you lil snots get a head of me but ill leave you with this:

for round 7 I picked 4 home teams and four away teams.

btw Im leading tipper for my group got 7 last week...

  8. its obvious dear tishee pick the winners and you will  be a winner .. ha ha
