Question:

Tippmann 98 Custom barrels?

I just got the infamous 98 custom and obviously i need a new barrel. (stock sucks)

so i took a look at the Flatline and it looked pretty good, but im still skeptical.

I was also thinking of a 16" J&J Ceramics or Tippmann Werks 16" sniper.

What barrel would you guys reccomend? is the Flatline all they say it is?

Thanks for any Help.

  1. the flatline will slightly increase range and accuracy so if you play woodsball thats a plus

  2. Flatline barrels chop like the iron chef.J&J is awesome. They make good quality barrels for the price. I personally was using a smart parts tear drop for a long time and it did me well.

  3. The Flatline is alright, but it's not all that great.  If you're looking for added distance get the Apex.  It's far more versatile and user friendly.  As far as other barrels go the J&J is probably the best out there for the price.  It performs like a barrel that cost three times as much.  Also you may want to look at Lapco barrels.  The Bigshot is a popular model as well as the Snapshot.  I personally had a Snapshot and was very impressed with its performance.  However it is not that cheap of a barrel.  So I would recommend the J&J in any size from 12" to 16".
