i don't know what is cool at your school but for a weird reason weird was cool at my school

be nice- you can never have enough friends

be organized- folders and other organizers always help

respect your teachers- you will have a good reputation with them and they will trust you more

do your homework- it can bring your grade up almost a whole letter

concentrate in class- it can never hurt!

Good luck in 6th grade! It is a blast! It is the best grade ever! =D

  5. if you wear clothes from hollister, A&F, american eagle etc..

then your dressing like every other girl...

sometimes when girls wear these clothes they look like

    wanna be's...

but whatever they have cute outfits maybe you should have

    a couple shirts from there..

but dont have a whole closet of hollister that you wear a hollister

    shirt everyday.

dress the way you want to dress :)

Also you should like try out for sports or get into clubs. You make

a lot of friends and get to have a new expierence.

I tried out for soccer, very fun.

I was in Band, BAND IS AWESOME :) but some people think that is like geeky... Even thought at my school most of the "popular" people were in band.

If your school has dances go to them with your friends.

    there fun.

    But please,

    Dont Try to hard.

    just be yourself

and you will find friends that fit you.

    6th grade was fun.

    i was in 6th grade 2005-2006.

  6. Just be yourself, don't worry on being cool and how many friends you have. Don't try to fit in because people want you to. Being cool is about being different. For your first day, don't dress up, you could maybe do something with your hair, but nothing too dressy. Consider your first day like every other day.

  7. shop at aeropostale american eagle hollister or abercrombie ok those are cool middle school stores also dont try to hard to be cool dont wear clothes that have seqins or diomands or stuff like that dont wear to much make up wear light like by light i mean not a lot of make up if you have some also dont say stuff you would say in 5th grade like funny stupid stuff you know what i mean like if some one said what is with your hair dont say the truth just say like i woke up late so i couldnt fix my hair if they say why did you wake up late say i forgot to set my alarm clock say that even if you dont have one ok just make things up if ppl ask about your appearance get a messanger that is what i got when i was in  6th grade im in 7th grade ok i was cool too also join clubs and sports ok in school there is not gonna to be a lot of popular ppl like none in 6th grade jsut if they are mean dont act like they are the queen they are only 6 th graders ok stand up and say what you feel dont be weird in middle school no one will like you also dont try to hard to look cool ppl will think u ur a poser and a wanna be dont try to hard to be cool and popular it will come natrurally and also by being in sports and clubs

  8. Just wear what you feel comfortable with.

wear what you like not what everyone else likes.

    be yourself.

    i loved middle school!

you will make a lot of new friends.

its a lot better than elementary school.

try to be friendly to everyone.

    =]

  9. Ok, I have A LOT of advice for your special year :)

    1)--CLOTHES/ACCESSORIES--

Try not to follow the crowd when it comes to clothes (don't shop at all hollister, a&f, american eagle), but mix it up. For example, instead of wearing a t-shirt with 'HOLLISTER' across the front, you'll get more compliments if you buy a cute peasant top. BUT--try not to buy too many clothes that are 'in' at the moment, because you'll come off as a total trend-chaser. For instance, instead of buying ALL skinny jeans, get some classic flared jeans (believe it or not--one day skinny jeans WILL be out of style, lol). Also, save your cutest outfit for the second day--everyone else is too wrapped up in finding their classes/old friends in the first day to even notice.

Also, you absolutely have to match your accessories to go with your outfit. If you decide to wear a casual style, wear really cute/glam accessories to dress it up. Or, if you decide to wear a really eye-catching outfit, tone down the jewelry.

Don't forget--painted nails are always cute.

Another thing to do is to bring a purse (put it in your backpack), and put makeup (if you wear it), hair ties, a hair brush (you can get a tiny one), a small mirror, tissues (in case of a 'runny day' lol), mints (no one wants bad breathe), a small snack (maybe a pack of crackers or a slim jim to eat between classes when you forgot to eat breakfast, or just get the munchies), deodarent (maybe a tiny one, when you need it), and a small bottle of lotion--surprisingly, this won't take a lot of room, if you get a medium-sized purse.

    2)--BACKPACK/ACCESSORIES--

A backpack is essential for school--so try to get one that fits your personality and/or work load. For instance, if you are planning on carrying a lot of books, go for a bigger bag. Or, if your planning on stashing your books in your locker, go for a trendy messenger bag or cute tote. NEVER--and I mean NEVER--get a rolling backpack. Everyone with a rolling backpack is atomatically thought of as a complete nerd.

    3)--ATTITUDE--

Try to be nice to EVERYONE--but don't let people walk all over you. Since your going to be known as a 'little 6th grader' to those in grades above you, try not to act s****. or better than anyone else--or annoying--because 8th graders HATE that, and they WILL tell you if they don't like you. When it comes to teachers, respect them, because they will be with you for an entire school year. DON'T FORGET--don't try to change yourself for others. Don't get swept up in trying to be popular, when there are tons of people who would love to be your friend.

    4)--ORGANIZATION/HOMEWORK--

ALWAYS stay organized--it will help you in the long run, and everyone will respect you for that. When it comes to homework, always get it in on time, and when its late, make it up. And NEVER be too shy to ask questions when you need them.

    5)--WHAT'S COOL--

--Confidence--hold your head up high, and stand up straight

--Style--don't follow the crowd, being unique (but not crazy) gets you noticed

--Dances--dances are great for getting to know people (and you don't HAVE to dance if you don't want), but skip a few, because if you don't, people will think your schedule is too open.

--Sports--its always great to get interested (and stay fit) in a sport. If your not athletic, go to the games and support your team!

--Clubs--if your not athletic, join a club. Check with the guidance counseler or your teachers (sometimes they have flyers) to see if there are any you would like. Clubs are great ways to spend time with people who have the same interests as you.

    6)--WHAT'S LAME--

    --Acting like your 'all that'

--Smelling (yes--around the 6th grade, you start to smell, and you don't wanna be labled 'the smelly kid'--so wear deodarent and perfume/body spray)

    --Rolling Backpacks

--Interests in anime/comics or manga (don't become known as the 'comic book freak' or 'the japanese weirdo')

--Spending your home life playing video games and/or on the computer and/or watching t.v. all the time.

--Being a teachers pet (just don't suck up to teachers, ok?)

--Wearing the same thing almost every day

--Being shy (c'mon! be confident!)--its only ok if your not one of those people who NEVER talks, because that's a little creepy.

    --Following the crowd

--TRYING to be cool--i mean, some jokes are just not funny

--Being too giggly--no one likes that, and 8th graders find it REALLY annoying

--Making fun of people/bullying (now, that's just mean)

    --Playing with barbies/dolls

--Wearing the same color every day (ex. some people wear all pink or all black)

--Being a poser (trying to act like something that your not)

  10. Bright or light colors in clothing are best It's only 6th grade! Relax, have fun, make friends - all your life is ahead of you! DON'T HAVE A ROLLING BACKPACK! If you have one and roll to your class, it looks really lame. Coming in with one on back makes you look more "In The Zone".Messenger bags and tote bags  are really cool too.

  11. I'm starting middle school too. =]

  12. Well i remember 6th grade because it was last year but anyway wear colorful thing and brands that r really in r like Aeropostale.Remeber u r only in 6th grade. And don't forget to be yourselve!!

  13. 3 words:

    No. Rolling. Backpack.

    that screams dork.

    and wear cool clothes,

    and act more mature.

there is nothing more annoying to the 8th graders than a stupid little 6th grader. trust me.

    but just keep your cool.

and stay away from the food.
