  1. avoid Caffeine, heat pads work wonders,  drink lots of water...

I've read, and come to realize that caffeine does seem to contribute to menstrual cramps more.... and i always feel better when i substitute sodas with water during that time....

which could be just because water is better anyways....

  2. I always find mint icecream a great help.

    But it's personal preference.

  3. oh I remember my 3rd, it was the worst! Hot bath, walking around, maybe bananas help I'm not sure, relax, don't be like crunching up and going OWWW because you are cramping your stomach even more. Relax, maybe try to sleep, put a REALLY interesting film or TV program on which might take your mind off it. Hot water bottle, heat patches, try putting a warm shower on your stomach or lower back, sometimes that helps. I know how it feels on the 3rd period, no idea why, maybe your body is getting used to the fact it has one egg a month released now. It's only normal. Remember, we have periods as an excuse for chocolate :)

It will get better, it will start to ease off tomorrow or the day after x

  4. It's best to start taking pain relievers slightly in advance of the cramps. Your mom or dad can help you decide when to start taking pain relievers and give you the correct dose of the medicine. A parent also can set a schedule so you can take another dose of pain reliever at the right time.

You'll want to take it before school, for instance, and maybe have it on hand at school so the nurse can give you a dose at the right time. By taking pain relievers on a schedule at the beginning of your period, you can keep cramps away so you can go about your normal day without feeling awful.

What else can you do? Exercise! Being physically active can ease cramps, probably because exercise releases endorphins, chemicals in the body that make you feel good. Eating right and getting enough sleep also can keep you feeling your best.

Some girls say putting a warm water bottle or compress on their belly helps them feel better if they have cramps. A nice warm bath is another option. Ahh ... feel those cramps just floating away.

Good luck and hope this helps :]

  5. um take 2 advil and drink warm milk i promise it will help just wait about 15 mins =]

  6. You can feel menstrual cramps in a lot of different places sometimes... in your lower belly, across the front of your hips, in your lower back and even in your buttocks or down your legs.

Your uterus is squeezing and sometimes sort of twisting, and that can be uncomfortable all by itself... but when it does that it can sometimes pull on the suspensory ligaments that hold it in position.  Those ligaments are attached to several other ligaments and muscles where they meet your pelvis, and a tug on any uterine ligament can sometimes make all the other tissues attached to the same area of the pelvis react as if *they've* been tugged at.

That can cause pain that rates *really* high on the scale... but it doesn't happen to all women, and most have only some discomfort or minor to moderate pain.

The simple and cheap way to help with cramps (it's also the quickest, and the most convenient and natural) is having an o****m by masturbating.   It doesn't work for *all* women, but it does help many... and for some, it can get rid of cramps entirely for a while.

"... an o****m can cause your uterus to contract, enabling it to use up excess prostaglandins in the process. Prostagladins are hormones produced by your uterine lining. They help to stimulate contractions that move menstrual blood out of the uterus, and are also responsible for those cramps that occur throughout your period."
