This is my first time going to Canada. I am going to take an Airline and get a hotel but don't know which would be the best place to visit for a first time. I would like the City environment and lots of places to shop, eat, and see people. I am learning French but have a way to go. I researched Ottawa and Toronto. Hope the Weather is great. Tell me what you might advise and if you have had an experience there even though I want to make my own. What are the best Airports to come into?

  1. for cities Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Vancouver, Rockie Mtns, Newfoundland, Halifax any of the 1000's of lakes and other natural and historical areas of Canada, it's such a vast country, you'll have to travel far to see coast to coast and in between...

  2. winnipeg!!!yeayuhhhh visit the forks in winnipeg

  3. visit quebec city

  4. Vancouver is probably the best touristy destination. Its the #1 in Canada and the mountains, oceans and city.. very few visit who arent impressed.... but you wont hear much french there... more mandarin and punjabi.  For French.. visit quebec city (very french) or better Montreal as its fully bi-lingual so you can easily get by on english.   An easy duo is Montreal (food/restaurants/cuture) and Ottawa (museums/educational type things)  on the same trip as only a couple hours apart.

Toronto also has a lot to offer in terms of cutural and other special events.

  5. It depends on what you are interested in seeing.

In toronto, the best places for eating is King St.  And for shopping for clothing is Queen St.  Our Museum, the ROM has just finished being rebuilt and looks amazing alothough i have not been inside it yet, but i do know that if you go during the last 45 mins its open you can get in for free.

  6. I say go to Toronto, Ontario. It's got lots to offer. Shopping at the Eaton's center or anywhere on Bloor St. is the best. As for eating, I'm not quite sure but I know there is many places that are amazing. If your going to visit Toronto you will want to land at Pearson International Airport which is in Toronto. As far as languages here, people speak mostly english and others speak french. And as far as the weather it depends when your going to visit. If your going to visit soon or before summer is over it's not going to be the best weather ( not trying to be negative but it is the truth) We have been getting rain everyday this summer minus a few weeks. We actually recently broke the most rain in the summer record for Canada. it's pretty amazing but other than that it' a very amazing place. oh and the C.N. tower, you will definitely have to see that and the rogers center or the Air Canada Center or the Hockey Hall of Fame.
