  1. ok i just got braces and my whole mouth is like in pain and sore i wish i never got them but what i do to get rid of the pain is take advil or a non medicated way is to drink cold water a lot. braces suck hope u get them off soon. i cant eat anything either because my front teeth hurt and my molers dont touch so i just cut food into little pieces and eat them whole. and sometimes jello and PUDDING are the best foods to eat.

  2. soft foods that you don't have to chew at all or as much such as mashed potatoes jello pudding icecream etc. sometimes, try eating something a little bit harder like bread, so that your jaw can have time to slowly adjust, just don't push it if it's hurting too bad. just find your limits with soft foods.

if you're not hungry and the pain is really unbearable WITH your medication, take a medicine that helps with pain and makes you fall asleep at the same time. When you're sleeping, it really helps with teeth pain because you don't feel it (obviously).

put on some wax before you go to sleep (take naps too :) it's a great excuse) so that while your sleeping your braces aren't cutting into the sides of your mouth

    good luck.

  3. ice cream ^~^

  4. Eat slowly and carefully. If it hurts to chew something, don't! It will only make your mouth hurt worse. Better yet, don't chew at all. Try mashing the food by pressing it against the roof of your mouth with your tongue. If chewing is needed, use your back teeth.

Don't eat foods too high in sugar or starch. Bacteria feeds on sugar and starch, creating plaque. If plaque builds up around your brackets, it can get under your brackets and eat off the calcium on your teeth. This creates permanent, white bruises on your teeth. Foods like ice cream, candy, chocolate, soft drinks, and other foods high in sugar are not good. If you can't stop yourself from chewing gum, do your teeth a favor and get sugarless gum.

Take a pain reliever and water to relieve pain. Sometimes water helps to lessen bad taste! If you don't have a pain reliever, try sucking on ice. DON'T CHEW ON THE ICE. You could also put frozen peas in a bag and apply pressure with it onto your teeth as best as you can.
