  1. Hi! umm well my time for 100m is 12.53 at its best.  I know what you mean I'm going through the exact same thing at my school.

for the 200m Its defiently not a good idea to hold your breathe. What my coach taught me was to hold my breathe for the first 15-20m of the race. When it comes to the curve do a cycle sprint, The curve of the track is where most runners s***w up. Keep you'r body at a ninty degree angle and just keep running.  A cycle sprint is when you keep your legs going like if you were cycling it takes a really long time to get use to. SO I say go down to the nearest track and practice.

100m, To be honest the 100m isnt one of my favourites. Never look down for this race just keep going, sprint the hardest for teh 100m cause even if its painful its the only race thats over the quickest so you dont have tiem to catch your speeed. you just have to go for it.

400m is my personal favourite. Only because its the race that I don't worry about. haha. I spritn the 400m whole way. I know the "proper" technique for this ( which most runners go buy) is to run it and then sprint the end btu if u have confiedence spritn the whole thing.

Good luck and dont give up. dont become cocky and do it for the love it not for the prize.m
