  1. As a HS teacher, I see hundreds of freshman enter school every year--and they are all nervous in their own ways.

My advice (and this might sound cliche) is to be yourself and try to find a couple people with whom you can be friends.  Make sure to talk (even for a second, even if it's just a "hi") to each of your teachers.

Try to enjoy this time.  Be involved, get good grades, and learn from your mistakes.

    Have a great year.

  2. golden rule. don't annoy the upperclassmen and you will be fine.

  3. Just ignore everyone that tries to tease you.  When I was in 9th grade no body ever picked me out of the freshman class and started picking on me as an individual.  If anything, the seniors yelled out "freshman suck" in the halls just because they wanted to.  So yeah just ignore it.  Most people won't even know you are a freshman unless they personally know you.  And those people probably won't do anything.  Good luck :)

  4. Hopefully you will know someone in your high school. That will help you.

    Some tips:

    - Don't bring a huge backpack because on the first day you won't do that much (bring 3 notebooks and some pens)

    - Don't try to make friends with juniors or seniors on the first day (we hate clingy freshman)

    - Don't look scared. Pretend that everything is OK if you are nervous.

    - If your high school is big and you get lost, don't know where your class is, ask a teacher. Most kids will probably tell you the wrong way.

    - Be friendly. You want to give a good impression.

It's not as bad as you think. Most of your classes will be with freshman so you will make friends easily. Just be yourself.

I was so nervous the first day but now it's going to be my third year. A lot of people in my high school just ignore freshmans.

It's going to be fine. Don't worry! :]
