Hey last year [7th grade] was a nightmare. I want to know some tips to keep this year the best one ever!

[[Dont tell me not to have a boyfriend or whatever because I realized last year how distracting it can be and how it can your friendship with a boy]]

Any teen advice would be awesome but other advice will also be great!

Thanks =]

  1. In my 8th grade year I lost alot of friends people began smoking cutting, and drinking. Stay true to your self and never fall into peer pressure. qtpiepeanut93

  2. Some of the possibilities for you to have the great year of yourself are: join some school clubs (school related and out of school) to meet new friends, new friends of course as you go along, go some school trips and be yourself.

  3. I had a great 8th grade, for sure one of my best school years! Just take your work seriously and have fun with your friends.

  4. Hey, I am going into eight grade too! Although, my year last year was pretty good.

    Some tips:

Keep up with your homework. I know that it counts as a big part of your grade.

Try to hang out with your friends more. It seemed more helpful to me when I know that things were cool between me and my friends. And I loved hanging out with them.

Get on your teachers good side. This doesn't mean becoming a teacher's pet. But you should make friends with them. They are the people that you are supposed to be able to trust.

Hope I helped and I hope eigth grade goes well!

  6. The best that I can give you apart from the usual keep up your grades and everything is to keep you friends and make new ones at the same time. This was a major support when i was going through some tough times last year. Be careful about who you hang out with and if they are doing something you know they shouldn't be. don't hang in there trying to change them. Yes, it sounds mean, but sometimes, you just can't change things.

Good luck to you. I hope this helped.

  7. 8th grade is should be a great year since it is your last year of middle school! i am going into 10th grade and my 9th grade year was full of drama. i think it is good if you try to keep in touch with your old friends if you end up going to different high schools. in my district, there is only 1 middle school and 2 high schools, so it was tough on everyone. be careful who you associate with, always do your school work, and have fun!

  8. Be yourself.... That's all I can say... I didn't join any clubs, wasn't dating a new guy every week, and etc. But I kept my grades up and was the highest in the 8th Grade. And I had a successful year yet a few minor problems....(Boys can be sooo stupid... They get you in trouble...Well... teenaged boys...)

P.S: If you have a crush on a lunch dude, do not harass them all the time. Soon you will be known as his entourage... Someone who got his back when he get into trouble...lol And he will get annoyed at times... lol...

  9. i mean really really study cause in the first month i basically failed cause i thought it was gonna be easy like 7th grade. math probably the worst possible subject for me. get on the teachers good side. homework is much more important than you know. i got invited to way more parties and stuff on the week-ends than the year before. have fun cause next year is gonna be a *****.

  10. My 7th grade year was a total disaster too.

And weirdly 8th grade was the best year...

    Why it'll be so great:

You'll learn who your friends are.

    You'll grow into a woman.

    You need to be yourself.

Last year was my first makeout session in school.

    Study hard.

    Party on weekends.

    Football games on Friday.

Basket ball games in the winter.

Base ball games in the spring.

    8th grade rocked my socks.

  11. Focus on your schoolwork to keep your grades up and get the teachers off your back, but also be social and have a good time, just don't make bad decissions

  12. I have to say, out of all my middle school years, 8th grade was the worst. But some quick tips: do all your work and finish them on time, don't be tardy to classes, try not to get in detention, and whatever you do, DO NOT TALK BACK TO THE TEACHERS. It can land you in tons of trouble. ( I've experienced this all before.) Just remember to pay attention in class, and prepare for all the tests and pop quizzes, and overall, try to get on your teacher's good side.

  13. ORGANIZATION AND NOT PROCRASTINATION!!!! That will be a life saver i promise...

  14. Be cool dont stress relax and make new friends

  15. 8th grade was the BEST year for me... I'm about to be a sophomore in college and I still miss those days. My advice is for you to, yes, stay away from "serious relationships." At that age, they really are just a distraction. But, keep flirting! It's way more fun that way!

Also, stay very social. My friends and I did stuff every weekend. Movies, bowling, roller rink, swimming, or just hanging out. Attend all the school dances, field trips, and events. You may want to join some clubs or something. I wish I had done ASB, I only did band (drums), but that was still fun.

Make sure you stay away from drugs and alcohol, it will just make you grow up fast, and its so not worth it.

Take this time to experiment with hair/make up/clothing styles too. Don't get too extreme or anything, but its a good time to practice your techniques before you get to high school, so that by then you're a pro! Plus, it's just fun. It's a good thing to do when hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends.

Hope you have a great year! Good luck.

  16. ZOMG 7th Grade was a nightmare for me TOO!!!

    it totally sucked.

make sure you watch who you are friends with.  they'll bite ya in da butt if yerr not carefull [[=

  17. 8th grade is really no different from 6th and 7th

  18. make sure that your grades don't slack off

    be friendly

join clubs and/or sports teams to meet new people

when you're first talking to people don't make any mean or sarcastic comments (even if you don't think that they are mean the other person might)

    be very open with people

don't suck up to the teacher just act naturally

    try your best in everything

    good luck!

  19. As you probably realized last year, there is a lot of drama in middle school, and the immaturity can often seem unbearable. The best thing you can probably do is to stay away from all the "c**p" and stick your heads in the books, while still having loads of fun with your friends.

Out of all my middle school years, I would have to say that my 8th was my best. It was also the most stressful, though. I realized last year that high school isn't any easier.. but at least the people are more mature, most anyway.

Um, I would start preparing for what's going to matter in the next few years, and try not to cheat too much because it will catch up to you. Don't get caught up in the "what's cool and what's not" and just go with what you like and think is fun/interesting. Keep up your grades, hang out with your friends, talk to new people, and join any clubs that you want to and can. Btw, high school isn't as bad as everyone is probably going to tell you. I mean, the upperclassmen are kind of hard on the freshmen sometimes, but it's all part of the fun. Before you know it, you're going to be out of middle school, into high school, and graduation will be right around the corner.

Good luck and have a great day.

  20. it seemed like my 7th grde year sucked too. i am going to be a freshman this year. =) 8th grade is getting you ready for highschool and DO NOT s***w around. turn in all of your homework and put some effort into your work. i screwed around alot and didn`t pay attention and i wished i had payed more attention. Just have fun and don`t get caught up in all the middle school drama. high school is gonna rock! good luck!

  22. im officially an 8th gr.er starting in august!!! i thing i can say that really helped me is that u have a binder @home and if u ever think bout throwing somthing away, like smthing ur teacher gave u that u thought would b useless... put it in there! it saved me prop 10 f's!

  23. Awww too bad 7th grade was awesome for me. In 8th you should try to be a bit more open minded and get involved I know it sounds like cheesy advice your mom would give you but it's true like try a new sport (new friends new talent new admirers LOL)
